Commissioning a painting is a process where you have a chance to order a custom painting that is created just for you!
Just a few things to keep in mind when requesting a commission:
Please do not reference another artists work or send me photos of another artists paintings that you like, or ask me to paint in a style that is not my own.
Please do not send me inspiration photos of places that you have not taken yourself, or do not have permissions to use by the photographer.
Just like you see here on my website and on Instagram, my paintings are almost entirely seascapes or landscapes, with the occasional truck or architectural element included. You won’t see any people included in my paintings, for good reason! I am not a portrait artist, so please do not ask me to paint people or pets. I would have to politely decline that request. I am also not an abstract artist, so I would not take on a commission in that style either. I do know some other artists that do take on commissions for abstract or portrait work, so please ask if you’d like a recommendation!
To add a painting to my commission schedule, I ask for a half deposit. Final payments are due upon delivery. Pricing includes my standard wood floating frame, and is based on the size of the canvas, so if you have a specific size in mind, or a rough idea, please provide that info below and I can quote you pricing. Shipping costs are additional and also dependent on size and location. Local delivery or pickup within Monmouth or Ocean County is included.
The completion time of a commission can vary based on how many paintings I have in my queue, but it typically takes at least 4-5 weeks from date-of-order before I can work my way through my commission list to start on your painting. Please let me know if you need a painting completed by a certain date.
